The Park in November

Here are a few pics from the park. (cute video down below)

Mallory loves being outside, so it's a better day for us all when we can get a trip to the park in. Roscoe wouldn't stop barking so here was Little Miss Mallory making sure he knew it wasn't ok.

Mallory's First Haircut

I have been dreading giving Mallory her first haircut due to a traumatic haircut as a child myself. She didn't seem to mind, and she loves being able to see without all the scraggle hairs in her face!

Our little rice grain!

6 weeks

Today we went for our "viability" ultrasound. Luckily, there is just one little 3.5mm rice grain growing in there and the heartbeat was visible at 103 bpm. Although small, this little one has made me awfully sick. Not having morning sickness with Mallory, this was unexpected. I have actually lost 3 lbs because of not being able to eat, which I really can't afford to lose. Hopefully this weekend's Ohio St./Michigan game will distract me from the nausea. Here is to better week 7!

It's that little blob in the top center of the black.

5 weeks!

We went to the doctor on Tuesday and had our initial appointment. While we were there, we took a tour of the hospital and we got to see the equivalent of their natural birthing center. It is set up just like a bedroom in a house. You can check it out by clicking on the "family beginnings" picture at the bottom. It's one on one nurse care and they allow water births (which I haven't decided if I even want to try yet).
My HCG levels came back for 5 weeks and 2 days at 32, 000 and progesterone levels of 27.1 . Both of these were much higher than Mallory was, so maybe this was just an eager implanter??
I also got my hair cut - does that look like shoulder length? Ugh, I'm over it now and I'm starting to get used to it. Mallory still points at my hair everyday because it's so different.

Twinkle Twinkle

So everytime I get the camera out she stops singing, so this was the best I could do. When she isn't shy with the camera, she has gotten very clear with her "twinkle twinkle" and her "up above the world so high." She doesn't talk in sentences, but she can sing this whole song. She must get that from Eric!

No Patience

Having no patience must run in the family, and here is one example....

Mallory's New Snowsuit

Today we got this adorable snowsuit in the mail from Mimi and Grandpa Foster. Believe it or not, she loved wearing it, but got mad I was taking a picture (which is nothing out of the ordinary). If I can ever get a picture of it, she loves putting the hat on and pulling the ears along with a big smile - super cute, but disappears when the camera is out! Mallory has decided everything is "hot" or "cold". Every bite of food had to be blown to cool it off. Mallory's 2o month stats are 33.5lbs and 34.5inches.

(new picture to come)

Mallory being a Goofball!

For a good 5 minutes I kept hearing Mallory giggle while I was making dinner. I turned around and she was cracking herself up by putting this on and off of her head!

November 7th, 2009- 4 Weeks and the Pencil Test

It's weird to have already known that I've been pregnant for days since with Mallory I didn't even find out until this point. Awful picture, but I needed a starting point. That is not a belly from this pregnancy yet, it's residual from the last one - so don't be confused. :)

Today we also did the pencil test (even Mallory although she didn't sit there long enough to complete it). It said I would have 2 kids, first girl, second boy, so we'll see how accurate it is in about 16 weeks. The Chinese gender test also predicts boy. This is all very weird to me because I've always pictured all girls... The picture of Mallory carrying the pencil attached to dental floss around is blurry because she wouldn't stop moving, but she just thought it was the coolest thing!

Telling the Family

Telling our families this time was much different than the last. An unexpected pregnancy with a husband in law school brought many reactions. Most people Eric told did not believe him (not a surprise since he jokingly tells people that often). Some responses we got were "OMG Your pregnant?", "You know condoms are 99% effective?", "I guess it will just be a little bit more difficult than it already was.", "I thought you weren't having any more kids until Eric was done with law school", a lot of pauses, followed by digestion, then excitement, and congratulations!

I think most people are finding this quite hilarious because of our Type A personalities and the need to plan everything.

Mallory is not old enough to understand, but I can tell she senses something because her "nursies" frequency has substantially increased.

New Addition!

Today we found out we were going to be having an unexpected baby #2. We are both excited, nervous, excited, overwhelmed, excited, don't know what to expect. The due date is July 17th, 2009. We will get to find out right before my birthday what the gender will be - such an exciting birthday gift. Just to verify I took 4 tests, this was very early so the lines are all very faint.

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween was exciting for Mallory. At first she would not take any candy from strangers, but then she liked the idea of holding her bag out for someone to fill. She also loves sitting on the pumpkins!
