ITZ

While we were in Colorado, Eric and I were fortunate enough to go on a date while my parents took the kids to ITz, a family arcade type venue.  Eric and I went to whole foods, got a smoothie and coffee and played jenga, then we went back to hang out with the kids for a little bit at ITz, and then headed off to dinner at the Ritz grill.  It was a good night for everyone!

Mallory got a fat lip in the bounce house when her and Bryce collided (on the left side of her lower lip), and then later that night fell off the bed into the nightstand and got another fat lip on the right side.   All in all, not a good day for her lip!

Eric took Mallory on the race cars (which I thought was going to break from his weight every time it whipped around!)

And Mallory was even brave enough to go on the hopper.

Make Your Own Princess Mirror

So I forgot to put the mail on hold while we were gone. I'm pretty sure it was a daily challenge for the mailman to put one more piece of mail in our box.  One thing we got were presents from my college roommate Ashley.  Mallory got a "make your own princess mirror."  She had so much fun decorating it in her Lightning McQueen pajamas (I'm wondering when the obsession will end).

Thanks Ashley!

Farewell Colorado

It was definitely sad to leave everyone.  We had a great trip and are so thankful for such generous and thoughtful family and friends in Colorado.  We will miss them!
The kids were great little travelers on the way home. Hopefully we will get to see them again soon.

P90x

I'm not sure why, but we thought it would be a good idea to do some of the P90x supplemental videos (ab ripper and cardio). We made them family events.  I still cannot walk - I am so sore! I can't imagine what the actual program is like.

Mallory loved bouncing on this ball.

I had to put this picture because it looks like she is sitting on Bryce.

Annual Build-a-Bear (or dog)

My mom has made going to Build-a-Bear an annual experience.  Click here to see the last two. This year Mallory chose a puppy.

The final product, which she named Roscoe, born December 26, 2010.  She insisted that the ballerina dog have glasses.

Christmas - Round 2 at Grandma Lisa's

We always go to Mom's for a brunch Christmas. Mallory thought it was great we got to presents again.

She was so excited about her new baby. She was also equally excited about the laptop Grandma got her (not pictured).

I ran out of camera disc space, so I didn't get the rest of the gifts.  Here are the kids with Grandma.

On our way back to Grandpa's for dinner, both kids were wiped out.

It's Christmas Time at The Foster's (Grandpa and MiMi's House)

We all had a great trip to Colorado. Mallory and Jared did really well and had so much fun playing at Grandpa and MiMi's.   Here are a few pictures from our visit.

Jared and Mallory (she is obsessed with holding him now)

So stinkin' cute!

Mallory helping MiMi make pumpkin pie.

Jared and Mallory's stockings.

The leftover iron on's that for some reason needed to go on her head.

Twas the night before Christmas when two little children were dressed in their jammies.

At about 9 o'clock we realized we did not have cookies for Santa.  Bryce about lost it thinking we'd ruin Christmas if we didn't make some, so we left him some pumpkin pan bars and organic animal cookies.  We thought we'd keep Santa natural this year.

Mallory grew a new obsession with the movie CARS character, Lightning McQueen.  Since Santa had been watching, he got her this race track.

Jared's stocking and gift from Santa.

Mallory opening her stocking gifts.

Jared's first present.

Don't you just love the Christmas excitement?

Haleigh, which Mallory followed around the whole time. She couldn't remember her name for the first few days so she would yell, "Somebody" to get her attention.  Too cute.

Eric opening his Modern Warfare 2 poster from Chance.

Bryce overjoyed with excitement.

See why we needed an extra suitcase?

Off to Christmas #2.

One last little note of cuteness, Mallory kept singing, "Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat" except instead of fat should would say "Chunky."

Indoor Sydiving

Three years ago I got Eric an indoor skydiving gift certificate that he never ended up using before we left.  Since he had to go while we were there, we thought it would be fun for all of us to go.

This picture says it all!
Mallory, Eric, Grandpa, Darryl
Jared, Amanda, MiMi, Chance, Haleigh
Bryce (isn't he so cute in his gear?)

We each got 2, one and a half minute flights in the wind tunnel.  The first time you go you are trying to figure it all out, so the second time is much more fun.  I always thought there would be this big drop feeling, but apparently there is not.  Our instructor said the only difference between this and real skydiving is the view. I'll take his word on that!

During our introduction video, when they asked if we had any questions, Bryce raised his hand and said he wasn't doing it.  After watching for about 20 minutes, he decided to do it, but only because he was told he couldn't have his candy unless he did.  Yep, candy is what convinced him!  He got in there and wasn't even scared!  Maybe next year we can convince Mallory to go.

Here I am flying:

Here is Eric.  He was so tall he would just bounce from one wall to the other.
We didn't actually get pictures because we were all in there and no camera's were allowed.  However, a video came with it, but it's 27 minutes long, so I cannot post it.  If I find a way to post a shorter one I will, because it's really funny to watch all of us!  We had a blast! If you ever visit the Denver area, I highly recommend it.
